Resale Guidelines

All toys and clothing must be in storage totes, boxes, or laundry baskets and laid out flat. Absolutely nothing in garbage bags can be accepted.

Clothing (not accepting maternity at this time):

• Must be clean and freshly laundered. Free of odor!
• Shoes must be clean, scuff free with clean laces. No foot impressions or odor.
• Must not be on hangers.
• Must be ‘BEARLY WORN’ – items with stains, rips, tears, worn out knees, seams coming apart, shredding (i.e.. bottom of pant legs), fading, stretching, buttons missing etc. cannot be accepted.
• Must be fashionable (no more than two to three years old). See our popular brand list.
• Must be season appropriate. Out-of-season clothing received may be donated or if it is extraordinarily new/nice/fashionable it may be purchased by the store as if it were an out-of-season sale (50% off) and stored until it becomes seasonable again.
• Must not have years, dates, cities (unless local) or personal names on them.
• We do not accept personal items such as underwear. We do not accept bras and cloth diapers.

Toys:

• All toys must be clean.
• All toys must be in safe, working condition. Please check for recalls at www.cpsc.gov and click on recalls and product safety news.
• All toys must be bagged and sorted into common sets, if applicable.
• All electronic toys must include batteries and be in working condition.
• All games and puzzles must have all pieces included.
• All books must be free of tears, marks and scribbles. Must have all pages.
• All DVD movies must be in working condition in an original case. No bootleg movies.
• We do not accept stuffed animals unless they are interactive, race tracks or fast food type toys.

Baby Equipment/Furniture:

• All baby equipment must be clean and ‘BEARLY WORN’. All equipment must be in safe, working condition, fully assembled and include all parts and pieces.
• All equipment must meet the provincial standards, which we must adhere to. Please check for recalls at www.cpsc.gov and click on recalls and product safety news.
• We accept cribs 5  years old or newer.
• We accept infant and toddler car seats which have a minimum of 2 years left before the manufacturer’s recommended replacement (which is generally 5 to 7 years after date of manufacture or as indicated directly on the product).
• We do not sell bath tub/rings, potty chairs or breast pumps unless they’re new in the box.
